Kitayama Ōmiya is a guesthouse located just outside the north entrance of Shin-Ōmiya Shopping Street, which stretches about 1 kilometer and is the longest shopping arcade in Kyoto City.

Along this vibrant street, which runs from Kitayama to Kitaōji, you'll find around 180 shops.

On the last Saturday of July, the area comes alive with a lively summer festival, attracting large crowds.

There’s no shortage of great food options either

— from delicious soba noodles to famous spots for yakiniku

and chilled Chinese noodles (hiyashi chūka), you’ll have plenty to enjoy.
